Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Comfortable, Looks great
Cons: Heavy
I've had this for two weeks and covered 200 miles. (Bought from my LBS). Bike suffers from 'crank flex' which the LBS reduced significantly. I use this on roads and cycle paths (which are tarmac/mud/dolomite and everything in between!) The stock tyres fitted are surprisingly good, (quite knobbly) and I've no immediate plans to change them. Good riding position, which I've come to expect from Trek. Quick too, the 'almost roadie' gearing keeps it buzzing along, and as a triple, can climb well too. Bought this for a cheap winter bike, commuting to work (15 mile round trip) and leisurely rides at weekends. So far very happy.......

Covered 1000 miles and thought an update might help. Had a couple of chains, 1st was goosed after 300 miles. Upgraded and we'll see how it goes. Doesn't like cobbles at all, the skinny wheels hit grooves and goes with them, rather than where you want. Just another riding skill to develop. Tyres holding well, mechanically, bike is sound. Another great bike from Trek. Coast 2 Coast and Coast & Castles this year will be done on this rather than the Mountain bike costing over twice as much. Really love this bike!
