Epicly fast and comfortable

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Looks great, reviews don't do it justice, worth a test ride
So, after about 3 months looking around for a new road bike (that could handle the odd tri/duathlon) I narrowed my search down to a Giant Propel Advanced 2, Specialised Venge Comp and the TMR01.
A few test rides later I was hooked on the TMR01. The Giant is a fantastic bike and if the price had been more competitive it would have been a VERY tough decision. The spec of the Venge (at similar price level) wasn't comparable.
Having only covered about 300 miles (in the 3 weeks I've owned it) it is remarkable in almost all areas. The pace of the mark, overtaking and descending is spectacular - but then again most people comment on this. A recent ride with a mate of similar ability on a Giant TCR saw me having to apply brake descending to stay side by side when he was pedaling! While not described as a hill climber I have no issues at all.
I am 100% satisfied with this on all road disciplines and distances plus aesthetically it's stunning - major head turner (if that's your thing).
While not a negative (as I'm not of a level where I can honestly tell the difference) I will be upgrading the wheels and possibly to Di2, given the low cost of the bike to begin with, at some point in the future.
*Also while the staff @ Evans were helpful in ordering and making sure the bike was ready in time I would invest in a proper set up job.
Hope this helps anyone deciding.

Lightening fast aero road bike

Posted05 June 2014
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Looks great, fast
I had been in the market for an aero road bike for a while and was weighing up numerous options. I test rode around 4 bikes in a similar price bracket to the TMR01 (and also rode the TMR02). All I can say is this was the bike that just seemed to click.
I've been riding it now for a couple of months and have absolutely no regrets. I have done several 100milers and a couple of triathlons amongst other rides. It really is up there with the best bikes around at the moment. the frame itself is unbelievable, which is what you'd imagine when its used in the TDF.
The spec on this Ultegra version is good, but for the price I just wish the wheels were that little bit better. That would be my only criticism, but its something that I look forward to upgrading soon.
I've read many reviews that say this bike is fast, and it mentions this in the product description also - I can wholeheartedly agree! This bike is lightening fast. The aero design work perfectly, and when you get up to speed it just seems effortless to stay there. The frame is the stiffest I've ridden and when putting in a bit of effort or sprinting the bike accelerates like a Ferrari! When you reach around 25kph the bike seems to find its own slipstream,
I have a selection of flat rides near me, and on my old bike seemed to average around 26kph around the 50-60km courses. Since I have been riding this machine that has shot up to 31kph+, with no real difference in my level of fitness.
I've also taken it up into the hills and although not designed specifically for hills, and not the lightest bike, this climbs very well. In terms of descending it feels connected to the road with the GP Attack and Force tyres and integrated v-brakes. This bike will stop on a sixpence, something I found out very quickly! I've never ridden a road bike that will stop so quickly.
The Continental GP Attack and Force are quick and grippy as I've mentioned, however their longevity is somewhat dubious. Mine are already showing signs of wear and tear that I never got with my Continental GP4000's but I guess that's the trade off for the speed.
All in all this bike is a dream, comfortable, stiff, sharp and very very very fast!!
