Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Looks great
Very comfortable to ride after setting up the bike.
The saddle is very comfortable ,preferring it to the brooks that I was previously using.
The gear changes , front and rear ,are precise .
The added handle bar's brake levers in addition to the sti brake levers is a good idea giving control whichever position is being used when holding the handlebars.
All in all I am very pleased with the bicycle.

A really excellent bike for the touring enthusiast

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Looks great
I purchased this bike over a month ago after returning my first choice bike,(nothing wrong with the bike, I just could'nt get on with the gear shifters).
How pleased I am that I did, I ended paying more for this model but it is well worth the extra cost, I ride the bike almost every day on at least 20 mile runs up in the Pennines and it is so easy to handle, the gearing is perfect for the hills I encounter, I have a hybrid bike with exactly the same gear ratios but the Ridgeback is faster by miles, it is also sturdy enough to tackle the stretches of the Pennine Way that I use. My average miles per hour has increased by 2mph and cadence is up by 10 rpm I have changed the seat to my Brooke's Flyer, (I think everyone changes the seat on a new bike) and added a few personal touches which enhances the already smart look of the bike. Make no mistake this is a quality machine and I look forward to many years riding, I have no hesitation in recommending it.
One final comment is to mention the help and understanding that Adam and James at the Sheffield store, gave to me in the choosing of the bike, especially after me returning my previous purchase, they were very professional.

excellent touring cycle .

Yes, I recommend this product.
I bought the 2012 version with front pannier racks ... Shame they deleted that feature off 2013 model . Always need room when touring !!! Only fault I found was the pump is too cumbersome so I replaced it with a mini rocket . And iv bought a brook saddle for this year touring . Excellent well made bike with first class components. Well done ridgeback . .
