I've had this bike for around two months now after purchasing through the ride to work scheme. I wanted a good quality bike that wasnt too much of a drain on my monthly contribution!
I opted for this bike as the price seemed very good and from speaking to bike enthusiasts (Im very much a novice) Trek seemed a good brand.
I ride around 25miles a day around five times a week (Extreme weather dependant) and i have to say this bike is very comfortable. It is very smooth and the gear changing is good. Its good on hills and pretty quick (My friend has a much pricier road bike and keeps up comfortably). Its very light and looks good.
Due to extensive use there were some loosening of components however this was to be expected and sorted out by Evans at its first service.
Cons - Not many but i suppose lack of some form of suspension is one, It handles brilliantly on smooth roads however on my route to work i travel on some less looked after roads. You can feel the bumps on the bike however this I suppose is more of an issue with the road than the bike. Only other thing I can think of is it is only 21 gears. At top speed on a flat road i feel like a few more gears would be useful.
Overall would i reccomend?? Definitely!! This bike is very easy to ride and the pros far outweigh the cons.
