An excellent bike

PostedOctober 13, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight
As my previous bike was a Trek, the build quality is just what I expected. The technical improvements over 20 years mean that I really see the difference in the extra 9 gears, the suspension forks and the disc brakes.

Sturdy bike, good forks

PostedAugust 12, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: pedals a bit basic
Had for two weeks, makes a great commuter on Edinburgh's broken roads, air fork is awesome, sturdy frame with decent standover considering it's a 29er. Grips and pedals are functional basics that will probably need upgrading eventually, but everything else feels like excellent quality and works great on and off road. Very happy with it.

Fantastic bike

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
The Cobia is a fantastic bike. I bought this bike as I wanted to gt into mountain biking in a more serious way but also wanted to be able to keep up with my mates on their road bikes when going out on week end trips. The larger wheels really keeping it rolling much faster, both of the tracks and on the road. Was out with a couple of mates last week end, one with a 29er and 1 with a full suspension bike. The cobia really stood its own against the two much more expensive bikes. The lager wheels were fantastic over the rougher ground, an area I was less confident it would perform so well, and on the tracks it really out run the 26” wheeler.
As for the spec of the bike the air forks are great, must lighter than the coil forks on other bikes of a similar price. The brakes stopped on a sixpence. The only slight question was due to the fact that the gears were not 100%, as I had the gears jump a few times. However I was warned when I bought it that they may take a few rides to bed in so I will overlook this regarding the final scoing for the bike. So overall 110%. I fully recommend the Cobia for anyone looking to spend around this money, and even a little more.
