Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable
Cons: Heavy, Unattractive
I test road this bike against a faster hybrid and a slower (more mountain bike like hybrid). For me I found it to be the right compromise between a road and mountain bike.
On roads it rolls well, and has enough gear range to let you sprint on the flat/down hill while climbing easily up the hills.
I wanted a bike for tarmac, park tracks and tow paths. On hard surfaces it's perfect, I'm not interesting in taking it on mud. While it is slower than other hybrids on tarmac it's better at dealing with bad surfaces and pot holes which are sadly to common in town.
The riding position is very upright which is fine for town/holiday use which is what I wanted it for. For longer distances it would probably benefit from bar ends.
Overall I'm very happy and pleased with the bike. If you want a hybrid that is faster than a mountain bike but a bit more urban some of the fast-hybrids this could be the bike for you.
On the negatives, I'd say it heavy when you pick it up, though it doesn't feel heavy when you ride it. It's an ugly colour, but that doesn't affect it's ride - perhaps it's less attractive to thieves... So far the transmission hasn't been perfect - it needed minor adjustments twice by Evans while I was testing it. I'm hoping that once it's bedded in and it's had it's six week service it will be okay.
