Really comfortable road bike

PostedMarch 31, 2014
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight
This is my first road bike and I test rode this and the Trek Domane 2.0 before choosing. The Roubaix was noticeably more comfortable than the Domane and felt quicker as it was also lighter.
I have now been out on a couple of short rides 20km and the bike feels as comfortable as ever. If there is a downside, when I am climbing sometimes the frame feels like it is flexing slightly and I am loosing power. But overall a great bike.

Nice upgradable bike for the price

PostedOctober 26, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Comfortable, Looks great
Cons: Heavy, small for size
Have tried a few road bikes now and this one is a comfortable ride on the outset. It's on the small size for a 56cm, I've had to add 20mm to the stem to bring it back to my size so should have probably gone for the 58cm frame. My other bikes have all been 56cm.
Climbing isn't awesome when giving it the mashing treatment but it's not designed to be ultra stiff -- it does inspire confidence on downhill sections and tight rough roads though. Feels like you're flowing over the road rather than rattling along it.
Only gripe I have is it can feel like you have a permanent rear puncture. I'm just over 12 stone so it's not like I'm crushing the bike but it definitely does have that feel. Other than that the finish quality is good and the naked carbon looks pretty sexy!

Great first road bike

PostedJuly 10, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
This is my first road bike since I was a teenager and so far it's been fantastic. Climbing some steep hills near me is so much easier and more pleasurable than trying to lug my old mountain bike up them. Just riding along the flat is also easier and faster.
The bike itself looks great in a kind of 'naked' carbon look, though the white bar tape gets dirty quickly.
The gear changes are nice and the 105 shifters are nifty with the 'nudge' facility to stop the chain rattling in certain combinations of front to back cogs.
I went for the Roubaix as I was told it was more suited to being comfortable for long rides as opposed to being an aggressive racer - and so far it has proved very comfortable.
Overall, I'm thoroughly enjoying this bike and find it very comfortable, but I haven't ridden any other road bikes to be able to benchmark it against.

Great bike to get started with

PostedJuly 8, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
This is a really good value, comfortable lightweight bike to get started road biking with. It also looks much better than any of the other bikes I looked at in the price range.

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Comfortable, Looks great
Cons: wheels could be better
Like loads of people I got the cycling bug back in the summer of 2012. Last year I got a Specialized Allez 16 and really enjoyed it - great bike. However I signed up for a 450 charity ride through France and needed something carbon. The Roubaix is fantastic, makes the bumpiest of roads soft and after nearly six hours in the saddle I feel fresh. The matt black carbon makes it look like a stealth bomber too - its a really great bike. Team Evans in Wimbeldon were a joy to deal with too.

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable
I wanted a specific weekend/sportage road bike alongside my every day commuter and the Specialized Roubaix fitted the bill exactly.
Great looking bike, and is really comfortable over long distances and hours in the saddle - soaks up the bumps much better than other carbon frame bikes, and the sport compact is a great compromise of price and equipment levels.
Had thought about getting the triple but to be honest the compact is more than enough for the steepest of inclines!
Overall great bike and would recommend it highly

Brilliant bike!!

PostedNovember 6, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
I purchased an Allez Sport last year and got hooked, so this year I wanted a carbon speed machine.
My decision to go with the roubaix was due to the roads where I live being peppered with pot holes and with riding mostly in the dark 24 miles per day it seemed the logical choice.
I certainly got what I paid for, the bike handles great and is comfortable to ride.
