Brilliant Trousers

Posted06 February 2014
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Looks great, Comfortable
I love these trousers! Well designed, comfortable, good temperature range, slim cut without being budgie smugglers.
They work well with some liner shorts in UK temps 0° to 12° (depending on how hot you run, and what else you are wearing!). I do not find they sweat up at all really, as the fabric is not too thick. Any colder and there is plenty of room for some thermal long johns or tights.
I prefer these to the road oriented tights for 2 reasons: 1. they have wind-stopper all over - so are warmer on windy days, 2. they are more comfortable and warm due to their more relaxed (but still slim) fit.
Had these for a few months now, done a few hundred kilometres and they are showing no signs of wear. Washed 2 or 3 times.
I have a 33 inch waist and went for the large which fit well.
The matching jacket is also brilliant.

Great- worth the money

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
A great alternative to those not wishing to look like a ballet dancer. Stylish and comfortable fit although XL slightly too long for me (31 ins inside leg. )
Very well made and I expect these to last a long time. Nice features like pockets, protective material on inner ankle ,zip fly and ankle zips make these a first choice for me over tights. Windstopper fabric too! Surprised other manufacturers have not spotted the gap in the market YET.

Gore Alp-X 2.0 SO Trousers

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
Great trousers for cycling. I use them for off-road trail riding when it's cold.
Windstopper material is warm and stretchy. Well tailored and plenty long enough (6'4")
My favourite cycling trousers.

I bought these because in tights I felt like a ballet dancer! As you would expect from Gore this is a high quality product and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Gore Bike Wear Alp-X 2.0 SO Pants

Posted14 December 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
I have been looking for a while for slim fit pants. The Gore quality is indisputable but at that price i wanted to try them first before i buy. The shop at work ordered them for me. I put them on and i can say they a most comfortable. Wore them with base layer when it was -4 and the feeling was great. Expensive but very stylish and given I commute daily i think it is a good investment.

Windstop

Posted17 November 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
These trousers are not thick and warm, but they work because they stop the wind, thereby allowing me to generate my own heat. The fit is great, there is no need to wear trouser clips and they feel pleasant against the skin.

Excellent - especially in the cooler weather

Posted08 October 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
I wanted something other than the usual tight fitting tights now the weather is cooler.
These are slim fitting but still preferable to tights.
Reasonably think - they keep legs warm even in cool temperatures but are breathable enough to be fine when its warmer. I've warn these at 3 degrees and 12 degrees and they have been comfortable. Its not yet gone below 3 degrees so not sure yet how sub zero will feel!
Totally windproof - and also water resistant. Recent short sharp shower was handled fine by these.
I'm a 33 inch waist and the medium fit fine - but they would definitely not fit anybody wider! Should be perfect if you are a 32inch waist.
