Hiding the lycra

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: could maybe do with some venting, more reflectors could work
Tried it on for a short jog before using it on the bike. Seemed quite breathable and didn't rustle as I expected it to.
Next on the bike for 3 hours and first half all up hill, again found it to be breathable and on the way back down it kept the wind out well.
Cant believe it didn't rain on the Fenwick Moor, so still to test that aspect. Kept splashes out from puddles and beaded well so keeping my fingers crossed.
Maybe could do with some sort of venting for those adjustments on the move

Great jacket. Totally waterproof. The only jacket I wear now. No need for a wind proof.

Really breathable

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
Great Jacket and good fit - I have used it for on and off road. Easily stowable but only has a chest pocket. A little pricey but worth it.

Fusion GT Active Shell (AS)

PostedOctober 14, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
THIS JACKET DOES NOT HAVE A HOOD
Ordered one of these as they are the new Active Shell material that is meant to be super breathable, (there is NO linning at all in this jacket and only 1 front chest pocket) but feels better next to bare skin than the packlite material as it has a bead type texture compared to the smooth packlite goretex
Im 5'10" 71kg and average shape
The MEDIUM was a close snug fit - they are a "SLIM FIT" & meant to be tighter than a normal jacket
There was enough length in the back as its longer than the front
There is NO hood in the collar as stated in the description but a hood can be fixed as there is the verelco tab at the rear of collar
The arms are quite long compared to the standard Gore jackets so would suit a road bike stance although aimed at the mountain bike crew
I wanted a hood so returned my jacket and bought the Countdown GT Size SMALL !!
BEWARE - If you use a backpack this jacket might not be very servicable as the material is so thin to make it breathable it will saturate and wear in the shoulder areas
Also this material will not bead for very long - but will not leak - just the outer fabric will look saturated and wet so will need frequent Tec washing to revive it - suppose if your a MTB'er this is not a problem as will be getting washed regular with dirt etc
Was advised about the above from an outdoor shop as the Active Shell is used in outdoor coats now
If not using a backpack & regular washed they said it was a good bit of kit - so smash the piggy bank open !!!
