Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
I first got this bike when it came out in late 2011. I have been riding it ever since so can give an accurate review.
When I first saw the bike I loved it! The colour scheme (although fairly basic) is great. The glossy red really stands out and makes the bike look amazing. The kingpin name on the top tube also adds to the aesthetics and gives the bike a sleek look.
It rides really well and the geometry is dialled giving a relaxed feel, whether that's in the air hitting dirt jumps or jamming in a park. I mainly ride DJ. However, I can still ride skate parks on this thing despite not having much experience.
The bike itself is really, really light. I was surprised when I first lifted it up. This allows you to bunny hop higher and also makes it a load easier doing tricks like hop whips where you have to move the bike around a lot. However, it is also still very strong. I have had some hard crashes and cases on this bike and it has taken it all (more than can be said for me)! As I said I have been riding it since late 2011. I only replace bike parts when they break. Nothing had broken on this bike and a part from a few scratches it looks like new.
Finally, the components are also great, the rims are bombproof and the rear brake is super smooth. The bike does not come with a gyro, but it has mounts to fit one.
Hope this review helped. ABD is a great brand, and the Kingpin is a great bike!
