Good but could be better

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: lacks basic features
This is Polar's latest and greatest cycle computer. It is a lovely piece of design that has some good features going for it. Large screen is excellent and can be viewed easily on the bike. The rocker action switches are excellent also making it easy to change the screen view on the fly. The mount is robust and is way better than the twist lock mount of older polar products which tend to fail. Now to the downsides. Despite being the latest and greatest there are some not insignificant shortcomings. First it will not display current elapsed lap time making time based intervals a thing of guess work. Also despite being compatible with the new Keo Power pedals it will not display left / right power balance. There is insufficient flexibility to display power data - for instance average lap power cannot be displayed. It also does not allow pre-planned interval workouts to be downloaded (as the Polar CS600x does). No GPS on this model either if you care about that thing. Finally on the plus side the memory capacity is very good and battery life is excellent.
