Terrible product

PostedApril 12, 2014
No, I do not recommend this product.
Cons: Poor quality
This product is made of cheap alloy that's not strong enough to break the chain. Ended up with a badly bent chainlink on my brand new chain and two (2) broken extractors. I was kindly sent a replacement after the first one broke. The cheap alloy just gived up Get a proper rivet extractor instead, this one sucks.

This pocket sized product is robust and functional

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, robust, very functional
I have had many problems with the strength and application of chain-pin removing tools in the past, and this product blows all of the others out of the water. Don't be fooled by the cheap price tag, it is actually better than many other more expensive and bigger pin removing tools. Love this, highly recommend!

Seems a little stone age

No, I do not recommend this product.
Cons: Poor quality
Not sure if I'm at fault or the tool but it seems to take a lot of effort to remove pins and stiffens links when used to reattach chains. I have stopped using mine, the only plus side was it was cheap, maybe that was the downside...
