Stylish, practical and expensive but worth it!

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
This is a really well thought out and executed lightweight, waterproof jacket. The zips are all heavily taped to avoid water getting in and the water just rolls off of the fabric. There is a handy phone pocket on the front and a larger pocket at the back. The double zip at the front allows you to let some air in via a mesh fabric strip, that is then covered inside once you fasten the main zip. The blue is a great very vibrant and easy to see colour. Buy the black if you don't want to stand out. The jacket folds down very small and doesn't crease so I have ended up carrying it around with me a lot of the time. Perfect for our ever changing climate. Be careful with the sizing I went for the Medium which is a nice snug fit for a 38-39 inch chest, up to a 33/34" waist. Expensive but well worth the money! Fabulous product overall.

Pros: Good quality, Lightweight
Cons: too short (front)
The jacket has everything you can ask for. Very good quality. Only one disadvantage: It's too short on the front.

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great
So far so good with this jacket.
light weight and packs away well and looks great.
Has been good in light rain yet to meet heavy weather.
Size wise - Large for me (5 11 and 74kgs) - ordered the medium first which was OK in arm length but not across body

Amazing jacket

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
This is a very technical, cycling specific, gore-tex jacket. I love a good jacket and this is probably the best one I have. I bought it in 50% discount, but would pay more if I had to. I am 6 foot, 75kg, 32 inch waist and bought size L as I usually have problems fitting my shoulders/chest (105 cm) into medium. I was worried that L would be too large and will be suited more for someone with larger belly, but the cut on this non-stretchy jacket is very good and fits me well. Could be tighter around the waist, but this way it at least allows for more layers to be worn during winter. Even with just a jersey underneath it doesn't flap in the wind.
The technical features are extremely well thought of and made - the numerous vents allow for unparalleled ventilation and the slightly-more-breathable-than-average nature of gore-tex paclite means that the inside of the jacket will be less sweaty then expected after a hard ride. I tested it on a club chaingang with a long sleeved merino top underneath and despite the weather turning out better then it was supposed to (13C sunny in the end), the jacket did not feel like a sweat bag and was comfortable to ride in.
Overall, excellent winter/autumn jacket worth much more than the £110 in the discount

Best cycling waterproof yet

Posted17 May 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight
The best thing about this jacket is the fit - VERY racey and perfect when on the bike. Probably not the best choice if you want a jacket that you can wear to the pub or for hiking etc, but perfect for riding in.
Goretex Paclite fabric is excellent at keeping the rain out, and is very breathable and with the number of vents in this jacket, it should stay pretty dry inside. There are some excellent unique features like forearm vents and the clever mesh panel down the front to keep air moving.
The rear pocket is a good size and has mesh dividers to stop things sliding around. All in all a very well designed jacket. Seems pretty well built too Not cheap at RRP, but you get a lot of jacket for your money and it is a bargain in the sale. The only criticism I can think of is that the yellow Mavic "M" logo makes it look like the jacket is from Morrisons.

It fits well, long arms and deep back, and not baggy ( although remember that mavic sizes are small), it keeps the water out, breathes well and is perfect for those long rainy rides as well as the commute.

The best rain jacket I have purchased

Posted03 May 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
At first I wasnt too sure about sizing as I have never owned Mavic clothing so I sent a question into Evans and the reply was that the XL should fit me fine. I am 6ft2in, around 73kgs (slightly more after Xmas!) with a slim build and long arms. Most previous jackets I have purchased have been XL to allow for the lenght of arms but they have been very bulky as more designed for a wider chest. This jacket is a tight fit for mainly road cycling, although I use a MTB I really like the fact that it doesnt get caught by the wind and flap around.
Mavic make great wheels, etc and thankfully this now extends into their clothing. The zipper is a little strange being to the side but no issues so far. This last week or so have seen alot of windy & rainy days and the jacket has kept me dry, apart from me sweating inside which has led to a little moisture.
I have also used the arm & chest vents and they work well (not fantastic) as if left open during a rainy ride I am sure you will get wet.
Other jackets I have owned are Race Face Aquanot (arms too short), Marzocchi (great but as washed so many times it now leaks and is well worn - they dont make them any more) and Specialized Aquaveto (dont like this jacket as not really waterproof).
So far a very happy cyclist, lets hope it stays that way.
