Pinnacle Neon One 2012 Hybrid Bike

The Neon is a fast as well as efficient and comfortable ride, a bike that's at home anywhere between the city streets and country lanes. Using a lightweight butted Aluminium frame and fork and 700c wheels with fast hybrid components, it's one of the fastest ways to work during the week as well as fitness at the weekends. It's capable of light gravel-track use as well as tarmac miles with 28C tyres, plus with mini-v brakes and plenty of clearance you'll have no problems mounting a rack or mudguards.

Stylish, speedy & excellent value

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Lightweight, Looks great
I reviewed the Neon One last year and gave it a solid 4 out of 5 stars at the time. Since then I've logged about 3000 miles on it (on the 2011 model) and can now say that it was certainly one of the best buys I've ever made.
There is not much that can go wrong with this bike. The absence of a front derailleur simplifies everything. There are other models that have more gears if that's what you really want.
I would agree with the other poster who said the brakepads that come with the bike are very cheap and wear out quickly. Replace them as soon as you get a chance. I was dubious of the plastic pedals too, but they're just fine. I just cycle in my normal shoes, so no real need to upgrade them.
Other than that, I'm still going strong and logging pleasureable miles, and don't feel I need to upgrade.

A great bike that has exceeded expectation.

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality
On returning to cycling after a gap of 40+ years, I am pleasantly surprised how bikes have improved. My old gear change was a hit-and-miss affair, but these new click changers are terrific. The brakes too are so much better - even in the wet! The Neon is also so free-running i.e. on the flat or slight decline, no effort is necessary - it just flows.
I was unsure as to what kind of bike I wanted, but the guys at Evans are all bike people and they were able to give me sound advice. Their suggestion of the Neon was spot on - it's a great bike. Add to that the special offer of products - I chose a helmet/pump/multi-tool - the Neon is a super hybrid.

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, looks good
I have to say I had some reservation when I bought this Bike, after all Pinnacle is not that well knwn "name". I commute on average 20 - 30 miles a day and have found it really good.

Light, Fast, Good for the road.

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Lightweight, Looks great, fast
Cons: Uncomfortable, limited range of sizes, poor quality brake pads, poor quality pedals
Had one for about 4 months now. It's light and fast and will get you to most places in London. Low maintenance too. And very good looking.
Down sides:
Size restrictions. Apparently, the extra large frame has been discontinued and when I bought mine, I was told that it was one of 3 available in the country.
You might want to throw away the brake pads as soon as you buy the bike. They're cheap and so they started to eat into the rim almost immediately. Pedals are also rubbish, but I've managed with it so far.
Saddle is quite hard. I bought a gel flow cover so now it's fine.
I've never used it off road. The tires are slim so I reckon it wouldn't be much good off road.

This is a great hybrid bike

PostedJune 26, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great
The bike is exceptionally light and functions very smoothly. The gear changes are swift and the bike works well. The bike is very attractive and classic in appearance which has prompted praise from a lot of people. The bike is good value coming in at £350ish.
Being a girl, the saddle leaves a little to be desired, but that's possibly because i have a bony bum so wear padded bum shorts. And if I wanted to change this I could juist buy a new one!
I ride every day to and from work and this bike is perfect for me.
