Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, bright
Cons: not rechargeable
I bought a white and a red version of this light to attach to my helmet for extra visibility. I don't think it's designed purely for helmets, but the stretchy rubber cord and plastic clip arrangement gives lots of flexibility. Unlike many other helmet-mounted lights, it's pretty small and low profile and crucially gives the impression that it'd happily get ripped-off in an accident (rather than punching through the helmet into my skull!). Happily I haven't had occasion to put this to the test.
With a bit of practice the side button can be operated out of sight with moderately thick gloves on. There are four settings to cycle through: steady bright, steady dim, flashing, off. I use the flashing mode (even in daylight) to be more eye-catching and to conserve batteries. The bright mode is actually pretty powerful for such a small light. Not enough to be your primary lights, but still impressive.
You can't get rechargeable CR2032 batteries, but buy a branded blister pack and you'll be fine. I cycle about 5-10 hours a week and I guess I replace them every 3-4 months.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great
Bit of a leap of faith, as no other reviews on this item. Luckily, it's a good bit of kit. I use it for daylight visability on my road bike, rather than night time illumination of the road. Because it has a lens in front of the LED, it probably will actually work at night, but haven't tried it,apart from in a dark garage! Very compact, very bright, fits onto bars well and has a good switch.
