Highly Recommended!

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Looks great, cosy...
A slightly tight fit around the top of the sock for me but I highly recommend these socks. Very warm and cosy, and they retain a lot of heat even when wet. I ordered several pair after trying them out first. I even wear them off the bike now, well it is winter!

The best winter sock I have found

PostedDecember 15, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
I commute every day and need good quality kit that works and lasts well as everything gets worn and washed daily.I recently invested in some new winter socks as my recent favourite defeet woollie boolies were looking a bit worse for wear.I decided to try several pairs as I needed a few pairs anyway and this way I could find a favorite from the current offerings from the main manufacturers.I chose the winter socks. offered by assos, castelli, endura, mavic and another pair of defeet. In my opinion the assos are by far the best they are the warmest of the lot along with the defeet but the assos are thinner so your toes can still move and the cuff is better made so they look newer for longer. The others whilst all well made and comfortable .ultimately I did not find them that warm and these are winter socks after all

ASSOS Quality Winter Socks

PostedDecember 2, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
These are very good looking socks and they certainly feel well made.
For a reason I have yet to figure out, I always end up with cold toes. I initially thought this was caused by over-tightening the ratchet on my road shoes which restricted blood flow to the toes. A second ride resulted in cold toes after a hour. After 4 or 5 rides I have always ended with cold toes. I reverted back to my Castelli Quindici socks and my toes remained comfortable throughout.
The Fugu socks are rated 0 - 8 degrees Celsius. They are very similar in construction to the Castelli Quindici socks. The Fugo's are a more snug fit in comparison and I wonder if that maybe the reason my toes suffer after a while. They are holding their shape and structure after several washes which is a plus.
I believe these socks will improve with use.

Warm

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
These are great socks for cold weather. I have worn these alone and with the Thermic socks underneath. They do an excellent job of trapping an air layer near your foot, transferring moisture and keeping your feet warm.
They are not overly thick, but be careful about wearing multiple socks if you compress them, you will loose that air insulating layer. I have no trouble getting the fugu socks along with the Thermics in my shoes. The Thermic socks are very thin.
