Warm, typical Assos fit and attention to detail

PostedNovember 19, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
recently purchased and have worn for a few rides here in cold and windy New Jersey. Quite warm with a winter baselayer down to the mid 30's (haven't gotten below that here yet). The built in neck warmer is great. I am 138 pounds, 5'7", 38 inch chest and 30 inch waist. I purchased the medium (as I am pretty much medium in all Assos gear) Cento fit and the fit is amazing. Snug with nothing flapping but just roomy enough for an Assos winter baselayer underneath. The quality is typical Assos, with great attention to detail. If you can afford it, BUY IT!

Very warm, quick drying

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
I'm 5'8" and weigh 10 stone 6 oz. with a 38 inch chest and 30 inch waist (yes, like a greek god...joke) and the Cento fit is perfect. As advertised, it initially feels wonky off the bike, but once in the riding position the glove-like fit becomes apparent. As advertised, it has been perfect at temps between -2 to 10 C. Initially, l wore a close fitting, lightweight wool tee with it, but the wool was unnecessary even at the coolest temperature range. I've since gone to using the very sheer, sleeveless Under Armour. I ride hard and sweat even at these temps, but I'm amazed how quickly the moisture is dispersed. I got caught riding at 15 degrees at the end of a long ride, but dumped heat by using the front zip and I was comfy. The only improvement I could imagine would be zipped vents between the nipple and axilla like on my Rapha Winter Jersey. All in all, I'm very pleased. Top notch materials and construction. I still can't believe how effectively it wicks moisture and dries.

Fantastic design, elegance and practicality

PostedJanuary 11, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Looks great
Cons: Expensive
On first fitment the Bonka feels overly tight. However, lean forward into the riding position and it feels like a bodyglove! Superb built in necker and mouth guard. Very clever design. Barely need a base layer to stay warm in just above freezing conditions. Very aerodynamic too. Just the ticket for Scottish winter rides. It is pricey but Evans had a great deal on at the time and it was Christmas after all. Spoil yourself, it is worth it!
