Work well, but a couple of caveats

PostedOctober 21, 2013
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great
They wrapped fine around the handlebar of my road bike but be warned of a couple of things. Firstly there was no indicator light to show the charge-level, so it's hard to be sure how much power is remainly. Secondly the USB connector is the 'thin' USB type like on many cameras, not the same as on many newer mobile phones if you're aiming to share the charger you already have or existing cables.

Poor Strap but good service from Evans

PostedOctober 18, 2013
No, I do not recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Looks great
Cons: Poor quality
I bought this light as a backup to my main light source and was keen to have a light that could be recharged.
i received the package from Evans and proceeded to charge the light. Before attaching it to my bike i took it with me at night time when walking the dog to see the intensity of the light. For the price it is a good performing light and i would recommend on that basis.
However, when i came to attach it to my road bike i noticed that there was a split in the silicone strap and was emphasised under stress when stretching to fit my 31.8mm handlebars. Although it was possible to attach it to the handlebars the split in the strap would only get worse over time and eventually break.
Evans were great as always and took in an exchange for a Knog boomer light which is pretty much the same for light output etc but the silicone strap has a much better design and strength to it. So much so i have also since bought a knog blinder light.

Neat Low Profile Safety Light

PostedJune 19, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Looks great
Cons: only a safety light
A great evening safety light, low sleek profile with a band of stretchy rubber to hold the light on. The light is supplied in a blister pack along with a micro USB cable - the kind a lot of our houses are full of anyway - for charging the light.
I wouldn't want to ride off lit roads with this light but to ensure I am seen it is great.

Ideal commuter light

PostedJune 13, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight
I've chopped and changed my lighting set up several times, but those days are over. Riding to and from work, lights are a must through the darker months. Being small, and easily able to remove them is another must, so that you can take the lights with you when you lock up the bike for the day (or 5 minutes). Charged by USB, I can flick the electron off the handlebars and take it to the desk to recharge while at work.
In 'high-power' mode, the light is bright enough to light up a poorly lit road, but you'd want something stronger if trail-riding at night. The matching rear light is great too. The claimed 11 hours run time might technically be true, but it does dim after several hours of use. But, since you can charge it every day at work, unless you have a 5 hour one-way commute, it shouldn't matter!
