Does the job, packs away small, but is ugly

PostedFebruary 22, 2014
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality
Cons: Unattractive
This roller is ideal for my needs. I wanted something that could be packed away small when not in use but smooth and pratical when in use. It's only just big enough for my bike, so check you bike size will fit first. It also takes some practice. My only real gripe, is the fact that it is ugly, if only minoura had just decided to paint it black or do away with the red or something.

A well made product as you would expect from Japan

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Looks great
Ordered on line midday Tuesday arrived 9 30 Friday, was advised by Evans and D P D service were my parcel was and time of arrival so I did not have to stay in and wait for delivery.Easy to assembly only needed to 17 mm spanners job done my advice is to read instructions before you attempted to assemble the rollers.I used a wooden pallet size 8 by 4 removed two slats from the middle and placed the assembled rollers in the space thus making the rollers and top of the pallet the same hight making it easy to get on and off.Have not ridden rollers for 60 years but after a few try's was able to ride with out wobbling .

Great For Newbies

PostedJanuary 21, 2014
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Comfortable
Cons: Expensive
I was put off turbo trainers because of taking your wheel off and back on every time you want to use it, that and the more natural feeling you apparently get with rollers over turbo trainers.
Assembly was straight forward, you probably don't need instructions, partly put rollers on frame put band on finish putting rollers on - tighten - ride!
Took me about 2 minutes to get going on them and ten minutes before I dared completely clip in - don't let the roller scare stories put you off they are easy to get used to!
They fold up to a surprisingly small size, slightly less space than a vacuum cleaner.
Going for a ride is a bit of a hassle when you have a toddler as you have to plan it 3 weeks in advance! But with these I can nip out to the garage for a quick blast in the evening or even a quick 40 mins when the little man is napping.
They are also quiet I have my music on quite low and don't really notice the roller and bike noise.
Resistance is good - your not going to be able to practice hill climbs on these but thats not the point of them. A great way to get on the bike if the weather is rubbish or you don't know when or how long your free time will be.

Rollers or Trainer?

PostedAugust 24, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: Unattractive, not that easy to assemble
I did not really know which option to go for.
I went for the rollers in the end and I have been really pleased. It takes a few goes to stay on but after a few attempts I was up and running. There are instructions with the roller and they give the hints and tips how to use.
Really pleased with results and great value for money.

Easy to use, resistance on the low side

PostedAugust 16, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, easy to use
Cons: not enough resistance for some
Bought these as a first set of rollers so was a little concerned how I would get on with them. Assembly is very straightforward, and using them is easier than Youtube videos and some accounts would have you believe - after about 10 minutes of wobbling / leaning on the wall I got going. The rollers themselves are good quality, and quiet - easily possible to listen to music while riding without having the crank the volume right up (I've been using them in conjunction with a mat to dampen the noise as well). Only point to note is that the resistance is quite light - the claimed 640W at 25mph seems high to me - you can be at this speed and still spinning your legs round pretty fast. There is enough resistance for sustained tempo-type exercises, but not really for sprinting. All in all though, very happy with them.

Excellent quality for the price

PostedMay 21, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality
When I was looking to purchase rollers there seemed to be two options, expensive and good or not-so-expensive and not-so-good.
As it turns out, the Minoura Moz Rollers gives you the best of both worlds. Well built, quality rollers at a very reasonable price.
Assembly was very simple (though it is worth making sure you have an idea of your bike's wheelbase measurement beforehand), and resulted in a very sturdy set of rollers which folds down to around 1/3 of normal length for easier transportation.
In use, once the initial learning period was overcome (it will take a while if you've not used them before), the rollers were simply fantastic. They are very quiet (your bike will make more noise than the rollers, offer good resistance (you can use your gears to increase/decrease this) and do give a good approximation of riding on a flat road.
There is an additional magnetic resistance unit which can be purchased to give you a harder workout too.
Overall, I'm really happy. These rollers come in at around half the price of a set from some of the big-name USA manufacturers, but do a great job as far as I'm concerned.
