Good warmth, reasonable comfort.

PostedApril 28, 2014
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: might fall down
I wanted these so that I could be warm for the early morning commute at freezing temperature without the extra bulk around the waist (no need for them in the afternoon. They are fleece lined and I have found them to be totally windproof - so I'm very happy with that. I found that they will fall down a la Nora Batty unless they are pulled up high with regular cycling shorts OVER the top

Good value

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Comfortable
Toasty warm, and good value. Comfortable but needs a pair of bibs with good elastic in the legs to stop them sliding down. Overall recommended

Comfortable but unable to stay up

PostedMarch 23, 2013
No, I do not recommend this product.
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Poor quality, won't stay in place
Before buying these leg warmers I bothered to measure myself so I could select the correct size (via the LG website). However on the 1st time for putting them on I heard a snapping of cotton sound in one of them. My measurements put me squarly in the middle of the medium size bracket and I was not exactly over stretching them. As they seemed to stay up I thought nothing of it. I then spent the next hour pulling both of them back up!
Initially I was riding with them over my shorts, so have also tried riding with the top of the warmer inside the leg of my shorts, this has worked and helped for a few rides but even that now does not keep them up!
Whilst comfortable and quite warm, they simply do not stay up. I have a pair of leg warmers by Adidas and these do not suffer the same problem, but are much tighter. Perhaps a smaller size of the LG ones would help alleviate the issue, but I imagine the elastic will just fail faster.

Comfortable, warm

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable
Do what's needed, only drawback being minimal reflective detailing if riding at dawn/dusk/night.

not fit for purpose

PostedNovember 29, 2011
No, I do not recommend this product.
Cons: Poor quality, falls down, the tops seem weak
I only bought these yesterday from the store but have now used them 5 times. Each time they fall down to just below the knee. The actual material seems ok and is actually pretty comfy and warm although you do feel a slight chill but they keep falling down. The best they've lasted has been around 15 minutes commuting and I have a feeling they'd have lasted a bit better if it wasnt for the stopping and starting although to be honest it wasnt that stoppy starty and they'd have still came down. The worst was this morning on my way to work, they started coming down within 200 yards. I've spoken to friends who have good leg warmers and mine seem to fit ok, they're tight but not too tight, actually whilst pulling them on the top of one seemed to sound like it was being stretched a bit too much. My Endura padded shorts have a much better leg grip band than these, the rubber just doesnt do it. Overall if I can find some way to keep them up maybe sewing some velcro to them and my shorts or something then they'll stay otherwise I'll have to bite the bullet and get a set of Specialized, Specialized gear always seems to perform at least as good as expected usually much better.
