Pros: Good quality, waterproof, garmin connect, big display, synchs with mapmyride
Cons: pins weak, set up software
I previously had an Edge 305 that eventually died.
Got this as I use for Biking, Kitesurfing, SUP and gym and I wanted something waterproof. I love the Garmin connect tool post training and when out I just use the speed, distance, HR and cadence. I carry an iphone when on my bike and use Mapmyride app for courses (synchs with Garmin device which is a big bonus).
Good things are it does just what you need, big display, loads of settings, really long battery life.
Downsides- the pins look very fragile, Ive switched the strap for a dive one .
Biggest issue was getting set-up with a iMac. Was painful. Got there eventually after many resets and re-installs of software but from reading the forums there are a lot of issues here. Now its working it is great but Antagent does feel like a sledgehammer to crack a nut solution.
Conclusion- if you just cycle, get a cycling garmin (or use a free GPS app!). I am not a big swimmer but I'd have thought for triathletes unit may be a bit big for wrist when swimming and Id be concerned about pins.
Overall Im happy.
