Cons: Expensive, be prepared to make some adjustments for best fit
Was looking for something to fit to the wife's Rav4 without having to fit a tow bar. Fits well against the spare wheel, bikes easy to load and are very secure on the rack; and you can still open the rear door with the bikes fitted. No issues when driving around country lanes with the bikes on the rack. The Saris website said purchase Bracket A for a Rav4; it needed some adjustment with a round file to get the bracket to fit so it sat centrally in the center of the spare wheel. The bolt that actually holds the rack onto the plate only came with a single rubber washer, this is clearly insufficient. Had to get some extra metal washers and another rubber washer.
Does not come with any straps to stop the wheels rotating when driving; good job I kept the ones from my very old Halfords rack.
I think a good buy, if a little expensive for what it is, be prepared to adjust the mounting plate to get a better fit in the center of the spare wheel. Also if you have a Rav4 the spare wheel cover does fit over the plate so no need take the spare wheel off to remove it when you have finished using the rack.
