Value for money

PostedFebruary 25, 2012
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality
I bought these cranks when converting a hardtail from 8 to 9 speed. I saw that they came fitted on a £1300 bike, the Scott spark 70. Instant trust. And seeing as they're only £40, this appears like great value for money. Ive been thrashing these cranks on some rough red sections, so they seem pretty durable and stiff. The crankset itself doesn't feel too heavy either. It was a real weight reduction compared to hardtails orignal SR Suntour crankset. I puchased the silver version to avoid visible wear on the black crank arms, this seems to be a winner as of yet. No issues fitting Superstar Nano Tech Flat pedals. The crankset doesn't come with the bottom bracket included, however it fit pretty snug on my original Octalink BB. Shifting through the small, mid and large rings appears smooth with 9 speed components and chain. All in all these are bargain cranks. If like me you dont wan't to spend loads of cash but want something to do the job... These will satisfy.
