Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, robust
I bought these to replace some Pro-Lite Como wheels, on which the spokes had started to break and the braking surface was starting to look worn. These were a clear upgrade, and were more expensive as you might expect.
I wanted some road-style wheels that would be fast, but also able to handle muddy conditions and the odd (not-too-extreme) pothole without falling apart. I also needed them in a hurry, otherwise I would have had a go at building some wheels myself. I chose these because they seemed to fit the requirements very closely, and also because they don't have the silly spoke patterns that so many factory wheelsets seem to have these days.
Overall, I am very pleased. I've not had to adjust the spokes at all since I've had them (and I have checked). I've ridden almost 1000 miles on them so far. They have handled roads, grassy fields and even some muddy tracks where I wished I was on a mountain bike. The handling is excellent: The wheels are responsive and quick to control. I didn't realize quite how much difference it would make, but I'm impressed.
If I ever replace them, I would want to build my own, but I certainly don't regret buying these and I'd strongly recommend them to anyone with similar requirements to myself. Judging by their performance so far, I think I will have these wheels for quite a long time yet.
