Excellent for serious commuting

Yes, I recommend this product.
The main advantage of this saddle over other Brooks ones is the shorter sides. You can see in the picture that the bottom edge along the side of the saddle has been `scraped off' slightly. This helps to stop chaffing.
I bought this saddle mainly for this reason. My commute is about 15 km one-way, and I had chaffing problems with some other saddles. The team pro is skinny and has short sides, and it is very smooth, so it allows you to slide about a little bit. My thighs never come into contact with the sides of the saddle at all.
It is also extremely comfortable, but only if you sit on it exactly in the correct position, with the seat height and adjustment perfect. With other saddles, especially gel-based ones, if you lean forward too much or change your seating position, the seat will immediately conform to your body shape. With this saddle on the other hand, you need to be sitting just so. Your sit bone will end up matching the curve of the saddle perfectly after a few rides (the saddle changes its shape a bit), but it won't feel anywhere near as comfortable if you move fore or aft.
This isn't so much of a problem, as it's so comfortable that you won't need to move your seating position as much, but its something to be aware of. On other saddles, I'm used to shifting around a lot. With this saddle, you can forget about it. You should also be careful if you take the seatpost off your bike to prevent theft; if the saddle is even slightly off centre, it can be painful.
After the many adjustments needed to get it perfect, I love this saddle, and I doubt I will need another for a very very long time.

Hard but fair

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality, Looks great, good value if it lasts as long as it claims
I've used this saddle every day for a month now and it's just starting to get comfortable. It takes a lot of care and adjusting to get it just right, I normally have my saddle positioned so that the nose points very slightly to the ground, however, the slippery surface of this highly polished leather makes that position difficult as you just slip forward on the saddle. I love this saddle though as it oozes quality; if you do buy one though make sure you buy some leather treatment to go with it and be prepared to be patient with it.

Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Looks great
Cons: Heavy, Expensive
I've only just started to use the saddle and my first impression was about how hard it felt under my bum. On a long ride I just kept thinking this is hard, it's going to hurt soon, but it never did. I don't know if I'm alone in this, but the smoothness of the saddle makes it easier to move around a little so you dont get any of the 'bed sores' that other saddles might bring. I'm a fan so far and can't wait until it starts to mould itself to my posterior's shape. You can see my full review at http://bikemagnet.blogspot.com/.
