I bought this item because i had stupidly smashed the original 'straight through' Camelback valve in the car door.
I am confused as to what the 'ergo" in the name refers to, ordinarily one would assume it's an abbreviation of 'ergonomic' which would imply it has been specifically designed for easy use. well it can't be that because it is a pain in the butt to use. The valve takes two hands to open and close, really ideal when riding a bike! My old non-ergo straight through valve was much easier to use.
Also being right angled the end has a habit of acting like a hook and catching on my handlebars when i lean over, again really useful if you want to be distracted when flying down a hill. Funny thing is i never had a problem with my old valve not being right-angled and can only wonder what the advantage of this design is, probably more 'ergo' i'd imagine.
One can only assume therefore that 'ergo' refers to the Latin rather than Greek and means 'therefore'.
Ergo, it's not as good as my old one, ergo i am a doofus for breaking it and ending up with this, which isn't as good.
