Solid, well-engineered

Posted06 October 2014
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality
Splashed out on this after trying various other BBs and being disappointed with their longevity. This BB uses proper, sealed roller bearings that are a good fit on the crank, as opposed to cheap, plastic ones that feel loose from the outset. I'm pretty confident they will outlast anything I've used to date. Note that it's possible to swap out the bearings once they are worn out, so it's not necessary to buy the full BB kit each time. I think in the long run it'll save cash. If you're obsessed by weight you probably won't like it because it's chunky, but to me a few extra grams are worth it for something that is well-engineered and does the job properly.

Quality British product

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good quality
Cons: Expensive
Bought this to replace a cheap shimano bottom bracket on my Scott scale 960 29er which failed after 300miles, this is a direct replacement, has sealed stainless bearings & is silky smooth, more than enough to cope with my abuse & is like new after another 300 or so miles

Great product lighter weight than my FSA megaEXO, also informed that they last for much longer and are easier to service.

Fantastic upgrade

Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great
Replaced my Shimano XT BB with a bright red Hope one; looks great on the bike (even though most of it is hidden). Excellent bearings, smooth, no-play.
I found after a while i had a 'cracking' noise coming from it - not to worry - it's not the bearings. the plastic seals need a re-grease every so often. check out youtube for how to service them. Well worth the money.

Brilliant value

Posted07 March 2010
Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Looks great, Good value, Good quality
I have had about 4 Shimano XT bottom brackets and got hed up with destroying them in like 2-3 month so i bought a Hope one and been using it at least 3 times a week for the past 4 month and they is no play in it at all. The hope bottom bracket gives me the option of when the bearings have worn out i can knock them out and re fit some more either stainless or ceramic as both will fit.
The only downside for me is that Hope isn't the lightest on the market but they make up for that with everything else a Hope bottom bracket offers you.
